Google Drive
Google Drive is a free platform made and run by the power of Google. There are so many different things that one can do with Google Drive, but the main thing to remember is that it's all online and therefore accessible from anywhere. Some of the more obvious things Google Drive has to offer a teacher and/or student are Google Docs (similar to Word), Google Slides (similar to Powerpoint), Google Sheets (similar to Excel). But on top of these things there is a wide range of apps and programs that one can use with Google Drive such as a library of Books, to Google Forms (a great way of creating quizzes or surveys), to Google Hangout (a program similar to Skype) and much more. The possibilities of Google Drive are endless and it is all found in one place, online, accessible anywhere.
The only negative side of Google Drive is that it requires an internet connection to use. So schools that have not yet put in place wi-fi may not be able to access the full potential of Google Drive.
I have used Google Drive mainly as a substitute for the Microsoft programs when I no longer have a license for these programs. I have even used Google Drive to complete some of the elements of the SEPEP Unit and used it as a means of saving my videos for the group assessment off the iPad. The beauty of Google Drive is that it is accessible from anywhere and automatically saves instantly after editing any work. This means whether I'm at home, at uni, or on holiday all my work is online and accessible.
