Spiderscribe
Spiderscribe is an online mapping and brainstorming tool. The website enables you to create a mind map of ideas, documents, notes, files etc. The website is free and easy to use and can be shared online to anybody that you choose. Once it's been shared, the original creator can allow others to add, edit and collaborate on the mind map.
In a HPE setting Spiderscribe could be used by a teacher to brainstorm and map out what they might want a school term to look like. The teacher also has the ability to add links to the Australian Curriculum, so they can easily see what parts of the Curriculum and Syllabus they are fulfilling. The teacher could also use Spiderscribe as a group project for students to create their own mind map.
I used Spiderscribe to create a mind map for the SEPEP Unit on the teacher's page. Spiderscribe was really easy to use and I found it good way of mapping out what you were thinking and how to sequence a lesson. Here's what it looked like:
