Week 1
Notes:
Divided Court 1
Court Area: 1/3 of full sized badminton court.
Conduct Rules: Shaking hands, fair play, sportsmanship, no kicking, stopping.
Procedural Rules: On the line, must bounce, two hands below knee height, 2 seconds holding the ball max.
When waiting for a serve: Wait at back of court, on balls of feet, low centre of gravity.
Divided Court 2
Court Area: 1/2 of full sized badminton court.
Conduct Rules: Same as 1 + be kind in winning.
Procedural Rules: Serve one hand, throw to play, net touch, below waist.
Tactical Solution for attack: forward/back movement into space, deception.
Tactical Solution for defence: Get back to 'ready position.'

Court Area and Conduct Rules were the same as 1.
Procedural Rules: serve underarm, hit once, don't hit ground

Overhead Smash:
- Server serves a 'lollipop' hit and receiver aims to smash it down.
- Smasher needs to get 5 or receive 7 before swapping roles.

Notes:
Defence: One of the best ways to defend is to make the shuttlecock difficult to return with a smash. (Why lob to the back of the court is always a good option).
Whenever possible, get the shuttlecock to drop low on the other side of the net. (Drop shot).
